Ole Miss Rebels Land Commitment From Former Florida Gators Edge Princely Umanmielen
OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 11 Ole Miss Rebels have caught one of the biggest fishes on the market, as former Florida Gators edge Princely Umanmielen announced his commitment to Lane Kiffin's program on Friday night via social media. The Manor, Tex., native is rated as the No. 1 edge defender and the No. 3 overall player in the portal, according to On3 rankings.

In four seasons with Florida, the junior registered 98 total tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, and 14.5 sacks. As of Monday night, On3 has Umanmielen listed as a 100 percent lock for Ole Miss on his recruitment profile.
Kiffin has been hellbent on improving his defense this transfer portal cycle, and he is doing more than improving, he is downright creating what could be one of the most formidable defenses in the Southeastern Conference and even the nation next season.
It is clear that Kiffin is hungry for his and Ole Miss' first-ever college football playoff appearance, and the way the Rebels' roster is falling into place this offseason should make fans extremely optimistic for 2024.
