'Bring The Boy Home': Ole Miss Coach Lane Kiffin Makes Pitch To Tennessee For Son's Recruiting
There's no one in college football built like Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin. A winner? Yes. An aggressive recruiter? Most certainly.
A troll on Twitter? Add that to the list as well. Well, actually, just double down on that sentiment.
Following post-National Signing Day, Kiffin spent time away from the office to work on quarterback drills with his son, Knox. Knox Kiffin won't be suiting up for any Division I school until 2028, but it's never too early to put your name on the map.
Kiffin said that Knox's top-five programs he'd like to attend when eligible include Georgia, Florida, Oregon, Texas, and Ole Miss. As for Lane, there's one program he'd love to see his son join when the timing is right.
Tennessee. Yes, that Tennessee.
"Bring the boy home," Kiffin wrote, sharing another clip of Knox going deep and tagging the Vols' official Twitter account.
Kiffin has become one of the primary villains in the hills of Knoxville over the years. After guiding the Volunteers to a 7-6 finish in 2009, the first-year coach pivoted overnight to join USC for the 2010 campaign.
Coincidently, Kiffin enjoyed his time in Knoxville so much that he named his son after the city. Maybe that alone should earn the youngest member of the Kiffin family a scholarship when the time is right.
Can one imagine the storylines if the two were to meet in Neyland Stadium? Not even Hollywood writers could get started on a script fast enough should the dream become a reality.
