'Come Join Up': Rebels' Lane Kiffin Has Message For Recruits Following Peach Bowl

The Ole Miss Rebels are finished with football for the time being, but Lane Kiffin's job is just getting started this offseason.
In this story:

The Ole Miss Rebels capped off their 2023-24 season with a 38-25 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Peach Bowl, and while there is no football left to be played, there is no rest for Lane Kiffin and his staff.

With the season concluded, Kiffin and Co. can now hit the recruitment trail in full force and continue to add to what is already the No. 3 transfer portal class in the nation, per On3.

Kiffin is well aware that his job is only getting started, but is thrilled with the current state of his program. He mentioned during his postgame presser that while the team is in good shape, there is still plenty of room for anyone else who wants to "Come to the Sip."

"We're in a really good place," Kiffin told reporters. "We're starting something really special. I think today's another message, which obviously you saw all these great players around the country the last month sign up to come join these guys. Today is another message as you look at the MVPs up here and the guys that came in here to do something special.

"Today's another message for a couple more pieces that may be out there. Come on, join up."

Rebels' DE Sets Tone For 2024 Season With MVP Performance vs. Penn State

Former transfers Jared Ivey and Caden Prieskorn were named defensive and offensive MVPs, respectively, for their efforts in the Peach Bowl, and their performances serve as advertisements for any recruit still looking for a home.

Kiffin hit social media on Sunday morning to let Rebel Nation know that he and his staff are gone fishing. Thanks to Kiffin, it feels like this is just the tip of the iceberg for Ole Miss football.
