The Ole Miss Rebels claimed a thrilling 86-82 win over the in-state rival Mississippi State Bulldogs on the hardwood on Tuesday night, but the football program also received a boost in the process.

Freeman was wearing a blue hoodie with the hashtag "Come To The Sip" emblazoned on the front, utilizing a common recruiting slogan from Kiffin & Co. in football. Kiffin, always one to take advantage of a marketing opportunity, quoted a post of Freeman on X (formerly Twitter) and simply said, "Hoodie!!!" You can view the post below.

Freeman, 86, is a native of Charleston, Mississippi, and although he did not attend Ole Miss, he has been one of the more notable fans present at multiple basketball games through the years.

Ole Miss Wins Electric Rivalry Game vs. Mississippi State at Home

All in all, it was a very solid night for Ole Miss as the Rebels held on in dramatic fashion to take down the Bulldogs and remain undefeated at home. This has also been a good stretch for the Rebels football program following an 11-win season and a massive haul in the transfer portal, setting up an opportunity for a special season in 2024.
