OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels are set to battle in the 2023 Grove Bowl on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. CT in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

The game will consist of four 15-minute quarters with a running clock and a normal scoring format between the red and blue teams. The final four minutes of each half will have a clock stoppage. There will be no kickoffs, and the ball will be spotted at the 30-yard line.

Pregame

The story of the day is the competition between quarterbacks Jaxson Dart, Spencer Sanders, and Walker Howard. Dart will be starting for the red team and Sanders will star under center for blue. Howard could rotate between the two teams as he was listed under both squads.

The Captains for the red team are Dart, receiver Jordan Watkins, and analyst Monte Kiffin. The blue team is Captained by Sanders, tight end Michael Trigg, and running back Ulysses Bentley.

First Quarter

Q1(11:20): Red team ends its first drive with a 28-yard field goal from Caden Costa.

Q1(6:09): Quarterback Spencer Sanders completes a 19-yard touchdown pass to tight end Michael Trigg to give the blue team the lead.

Q1(3:46): Red team turns the ball over on downs at the 48-yard line and the blue team will take over.

Q1(1:02): Quarterback Walker Howard lofts a beautiful 19-yard touchdown pass to running back Ulysses Bentley and the blue team extends its lead.

Second Quarter

Q2(13:08): Quarterback Jaxson Dart completes a five-yard touchdown pass to running back Quinshon Judkins.

Blue 14, Red 10

Q2(11:40): Sanders throws an interception to safety John Saunders in the endzone and takes it back to the 45-yard line for the red team.

Blue 14, Red 10

Q2(8:06): After switching teams, Howard completes a 27-yard touchdown pass to receiver Jalen Knox and the red team now has the lead.

Red 17, Blue 14

Q2(6:20): Sanders takes it into the endzone himself on a six-yard rush and the blue team retakes the lead.

Q2(4:47): Red team punts the ball and the blue team will take over at the 38-yard line.

Q2(2:37): Bentley scampers into the endzone on a 40-yard touchdown run and extends the blue team's lead.

Q3(10:24): Kicker Caden Davis extends the blue team's lead with a field goal.

Q3(9:31): Howard completes his third touchdown pass of the day on a 64-yard swing pass to receiver, Jordan Watkins.

Q3(4:31): Sanders completes a short touchdown pass to receiver Brandon Buckhalter.

Q4(10:26): Sanders completes his third touchdown pass of the day to receiver Larry Simmons and extends the blue team's lead.

Q4(6:10): Red team knocks in a 31-yard field goal to cut down the blue team's lead.

Q4(2:26): Howard calls his own number and takes it into the endzone.

Q4(2:26): McAfee gives the red team the lead late in the game with a one-yard rushing touchdown.
