Ole Miss could contend for a spot in the SEC Championship Game and earn a high seed in the College Football Playoff in 2024. Even with the loss of stud running back Quinshon Judkins, the Rebels still return a ton of talent on the offensive side, including experienced quarterback Jaxson Dart. The incoming transfer portal class, which ranks second nationally, is loaded with plug-and-play contributors. Ole Miss could be favored in at least 10 games next season with a schedule that avoids Alabama, Tennessee and Texas.
The upcoming schedule is a point that isn't always emphasized as Ole Miss enters next season, but it is worth mentioning. Although the Rebels will face the Georgia Bulldogs and Oklahoma Sooners, they will get them at home, and road trips to face the LSU Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks are among the tougher games on the slate.
Can Ole Miss compete for a spot in the expanded College Football Playoff? It's certainly possible, but the Rebels will certainly be "exciting," to say the least.
