Four Ole Miss Rebels Picked in Final ESPN Mock Draft

ESPN released a final mock draft ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft and found homes for the top Ole Miss prospects.

OXFORD, Miss. -- With round 1 of the 2023 NFL Draft starting Thursday night, ESPN released a massive seven-round mock draft on Monday, and four Ole Miss Rebels were selected in this final set of predictions.

Former Ole Miss receiver Jonathan Mingo, running back Zach Evans, offensive lineman Nick Broeker, and defensive end Tavius Robinson are all projected to get picked during days two and three of the draft.

Here is a look at ESPN's final predictions for the NFL Draft.

41. Tennessee Titans

Jonathan Mingo, WR, Ole Miss

If the Titans are upset about losing A.J. Brown during the 2022 NFL draft, a potential replacement can be found at his alma mater. Mingo is another 6-2, 220-pound pass-catcher from Ole Miss who beats up underneath coverage and runs through tackles in space. He had a breakout season in 2022 with 51 catches and five touchdowns. He had a combine performance in which he ran a 4.46-second 40-yard dash and jumped 39.5 inches in the vertical to really start a draft rise.

126. Cleveland Browns (from MIN):

Zach Evans, RB, Ole Miss

171. Los Angeles Rams*:

Nick Broeker, G, Ole Miss

205. Buffalo Bills:

Tavius Robinson, DE, Ole Miss

The hype around Mingo increases with every passing moment as we approach draft day thanks to his impressive tape and combine performance. The Brandon, Miss., native finds a new home with the Tennessee Titans at pick No. 41, becoming the eighth receiver taken off the board, according to ESPN. Mingo will be a player to keep an eye out for once the second round begins.

Evans gets drafted by the Cleveland Browns at No. 126 and joins a fairly barren running back room led by one of the top backs in the league, Nick Chubb.  If Evans can stay on the field, he would bring versatility to a group that could badly use reinforcements.

If the Los Angeles Rams want to return to the playoffs they need to keep veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford on his feet. The Rams address their offensive line with pick No. 171 by selecting Broeker, the versatile senior out of Ole Miss who has only allowed two sacks since his junior year. Broeker has shown the ability to play tackle and guard, but will likely become a full-time interior lineman at the next level.

Robinson is the last Rebel picked in this mock draft, and he gets his first shot in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills after being drafted with pick No. 205. The Guelph, Ontario, native gets the chance to play in the cold again, bringing size and speed to Buffalo's front seven.
