LOOK: Former Ole Miss TE Michael Trigg Commits to Baylor

Former Ole Miss Rebels tight end Michael Trigg has announced his new college football home.

There was a time where quarterback Jaxson Dart and tight end Michael Trigg were a package deal. That time has now passed.

The duo transferred to the Ole Miss Rebels from the USC Trojans prior to the 2022 season, but that is where their paths began to diverge. Dart has remained as the starting quarterback of the Rebels, including announcing his intent to return for the 2024 season, while Trigg was "no longer with" the team in September and entered the transfer portal last month.

Late last week, he announced his new college football home, opting to head to Waco and join the Baylor Bears. You can view his commitment post below.

Trigg was no longer part of the Rebels team in late September of this season, but he did secure a clutch touchdown reception in Ole Miss’ win over Tulane in Week 2.

Over the course of three seasons (some of which were injury-shortened as well), Trigg has hauled in 28 receptions for 330 yards and five touchdowns.

In the 2023 season, before he departed the Rebels’ roster, he had accumulated four receptions for 65 yards and a score.

As mentioned above, this marks his second transfer of his collegiate career as he looks to put his clear athletic abilities on display with a different program.
