Ole Miss Lands Commitment From Elite Transfer Corner Trey Amos
The Ole Miss Rebels have landed a commitment from Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Trey Amos, he announced on Friday.
According to reports from On3, the Rebels were set to host Alabama portal cornerback Trey Amos this weekend after he played in all 14 games for the Tide in 2023.
Amos began his career with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, suiting up in Lafayette for three seasons before joining the Tide in 2023. Over the course of his career, the corner has accumulated 71 total tackles (52 solo) and one interception.
Out of high school, Amos was tagged as a three-star recruit by On3, and he was the No. 70 player in the state of Louisiana in the 2020 class.
The potential exodus from Tuscaloosa comes on the heels of legendary head coach Nick Saban announcing his retirement earlier this month. The Tide opted to hire Washington Huskies head coach Kalen DeBoer after he led his team to the national championship game this season.
Alabama Portal CB Trey Amos to Visit Ole Miss
This visit news comes on the heels of Ole Miss losing some defensive portal commitments in recent days, all of whom have flipped to the Louisville Cardinals. The Rebels have begun to restock, however, also adding DB Brandon Turnage out of the portal on Friday.
