Rebels WR Tre Harris Named Way-Too-Early All-American by ESPN
OXFORD, Miss. -- It is still only January, but it is never too early to think about the 2024 college football season. ESPN is already looking to next season, as the outlet released its way-too-early All-American teams for 2024, and Ole Miss Rebels receiver Tre Harris made the cut after having a stellar first year in the Southeastern Conference.
Harris was given the second team spot, while Arizona Wildcats wideout Tetairoa McMillan was named to the first team. Ole Miss football made the announcement via social media which can be found here.
Harris transferred to Ole Miss ahead of the 2023 season after spending three years with at Louisiana Tech where he recorded 1,527 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns 31 games. In his first 12 games in the SEC, Harris hauled in 985 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Lafayette, La., native finished the 2023 season fifth in the SEC in receiving yards, and fourth in the league in yards per reception with 18.24. Harris made a name for himself quickly in Oxford, as the former transfer caught six passes for 133 yards and four touchdowns versus the Mercer Bears in Week 1, setting Ole Miss' record for touchdown receptions in a single game in the process.
Harris helped the Rebels reach their first-ever 11-win season in 2023, and he has his sights set on achieving greater heights in 2024. Harris and other seniors are returning for their final years of eligibility to go all-in on next season with hopes of achieving more than just Ole Miss' first-ever playoff appearance.
