Ole Miss DL Zxavian Harris Arrested on Sunday, Per Oxford Police Department

Ole Miss Rebels defensive tackle Zxavian Harris is facing charges following an incident that occurred on Sunday.

OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Rebels defensive tackle Zxavian Harris is facing charges after being arrested on Sunday, according to a statement released by the Oxford Police Department on Wednesday. Harris has been charged with driving under the influence, felony fleeing, reckless driving, being a minor in possession, not using headlights, and running a stop sign.

According to the statement, police responded to a report that a vehicle was doing burnouts in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Creekmore Boulevard. When police arrived, the vehicle exited the parking lot with no headlights on "at a high rate of speed."

Officers quickly found the vehicle wrecked and discovered that Harris was the driver upon investigation. Harris stood before a Lafayette County Justice Court Judge for his initial hearing and was issued a $10,000 bond.

The 6-foot-7, 335-pound defensive tackle was a four-star recruit in Ole Miss' 2022 class. As a freshman last fall, Harris recorded three total tackles after appearing in 13 games for the Rebels

Harris was on track to compete for snaps during fall camp to be a key piece of the defensive line rotation this fall for new defensive coordinator Pete Golding. Ole Miss' depth in the trenches will be tested with Harris now out of the picture for the foreseeable future.
