Ole Miss Releases Video of Freshman Players Arriving on Campus
OXFORD, Miss. -- The dog days of summer may be approaching, but that doesn't mean the excitement for college football season has waned.
The Ole Miss Rebels tweeted a video on Monday featuring some key freshman players arriving on campus for their first year of classes and game action. The players shown and interviewed in the video include linebacker Suntarine Perkins, wide receiver Ayden Williams and running back Kedrick Reescano.
"We've been grinding like this my whole life," Perkins said in the video. "We thank God for this moment. We thank our parents, and it's time to put on the shine."
"Like he said, we're just thankful for everybody that helped us along the way on this journey. Me and Perk talked about this back at the Mississippi-Alabama Game, so we've been ready to get to it."
Reescano is also eager to start what he calls a "new chapter" at Ole Miss.
"Yeah, I am excited," Reescano said. "I'm not going to lie. I'm ready to start this next chapter of my life."
These are three of the biggest names from Ole Miss' recruiting class this offseason. Perkins, courted late by the Alabama Crimson Tide, opted to stay in Mississippi after playing high school ball at Raleigh (Miss.) High School. He was also rated the No. 1 player in Mississippi by multiple outlets.
Williams is also a Mississippi-native out of Ridgeland High School where he earned a unanimous four-star ranking during his prep days at wide receiver. Of these three, Reescano is the only one to hail from a different state, coming from New Caney (Texas) High School and becoming a member of the ESPN 300.
