'Rat Poison!' Ole Miss Coach Lane Kiffin Responds to Unanimous College Football Playoff Projection

Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin recently responded to the fact that his team was unanimously projected to reach the College Football Playoff in the 2024 season.
In this story:

The Ole Miss Rebels have gained a large amount of momentum as a program, and the country has taken notice.

Recently, the Rebels were unanimously projected by a team of six panelists at ESPN to reach their first College Football Playoff appearance in the 2024 season. While that is exciting news for Ole Miss fans, head coach Lane Kiffin was sure to pump the proverbial brakes on that on social media this week. You can view his post here.

"As the [GOAT] would say to the [rabbit] That right there is [rat poison] @OleMissFB @AlabamaFTBL," Kiffin wrote.

Kiffin is, of course, referring to his former boss in Nick Saban who recently retired from his post with the Alabama Crimson Tide, and while he definitely hopes to lead the Rebels to the CFP this fall, he is always quick to call "rat poison" towards anything that could permeate his team and swell the egos of his players.

The rabbit reference? Well, that comes from a recent story where Kiffin revealed a time that Saban compared him to storybook character P.J. Funnybunny due to antics in fall camp prior to the 2016 season.

Kiffin's social media posts are often filled with emojis and subliminal references, but one thing is for sure: his program at Ole Miss is on a climb, and the national media is giving him credit for it.
