Rebels Earn Commitment From In-State Four-Star Jeffery Rush
OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels gained the commitment of in-state four-star defensive lineman Jeffery Rush out of Pascagoula (Miss.) on Saturday.
Rush made his announcement official on social media, one that was later retweeted by Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin.
Kiffin also tweeted his mark of "#StayInTheSip" following the pledge from Rush.
Rush's commitment comes on the heels of a visit to Oxford over the weekend. According to On3, he is the No. 133 overall prospect and No. 17 defensive lineman for 2024, and he also comes in as the No. 5 player in the state of Mississippi.
The Rebels now have five commitments in their 2024 class with Rush joining QB Demond Williams, RB Chris Davis, LB Fred Clark and WR Jeremy Scott. Out of this group, only one athlete comes outside of Mississippi's borders with Williams hailing as a four-star at Chandler (Ariz.) Basha.
Ole Miss has seemingly gained some momentum on the recruiting trail this month with now four commitments coming in the month of March, including adding Chris Davis on March 23.
Rush held offers from teams such as the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Auburn Tigers, Texas Longhorns, Florida State Seminoles, Missouri Tigers and others prior to his Ole Miss commitment.
