The Ole Miss Rebels officially have their quarterback for the 2024 season.

Jaxson Dart announced his intent to return to Oxford for his senior season in 2024, putting an end to the speculation that he could enter the transfer portal or head to the NFL Draft. The announcement came via the Like a Farmer podcast where Dart was a guest, and he reposted the announcement from the show on New Year's Day.

"I think the best decision is for me to come back for one more," Dart said. "Run it back in the Sip."

Dart then posted his own announcement to X that stated, "For those last few great ones out there, come join us for the last dance. I'm back."

The Rebels were likely going to retain Dart for next season, and Lane Kiffin said as much on an edition of the "Reb Talk" radio show earlier this season. After his team's win over Louisiana-Monroe, however, Kiffin said that he spoke too soon and would leave the announcement to Dart, one that he finally made on Jan. 1.

Dart was a huge part of Ole Miss securing an 11-win season for the first time in school history in 2023, throwing for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns paired with just five interceptions. He also accounted for 391 rushing yards and eight scores on the ground.
