SEC Reveals Kickoff Time, TV Details For Ole Miss Rebels vs. Auburn Tigers
OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels are officially halfway through their 2023 campaign following their Week 6 27-20 victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks and own an overall record of 5-1 (2-1 in SEC) entering a crucial bye week.
The Rebels' next matchup is a road game against the Auburn Tigers on Oct. 21, and the Southeastern Conference announced the start time for the SEC West showdown on Monday via social media.
The Rebels are set to play in their third-straight evening game this season, as Ole Miss will kickoff versus Auburn at 6:00 p.m. CT in Jordan-Hare Stadium, and the matchup will be televised on ESPN.
Auburn is 3-2 (0-2 in SEC) entering its Week 7 road game versus the No. 22 LSU Tigers and is coming off its very own bye week. The Tigers last battled the No. 1 Georga Bulldogs at home in Week 5 and had the two-time defending national champs sweating in a 27-20 Auburn loss.
The Tigers are a dangerous group despite their record and have been historically difficult for Ole Miss to defeat. The last time the Rebels beat Auburn in Jordan-Hare was 2015, and Ole Miss has only beaten Auburn twice in the last decade. The Tigers lead the all-time series versus Ole Miss with a 34-11 record.
The Rebels picked up their first victory over the Tigers with coach Lane Kiffin in 2022 in a 48-34 home win. The 2023 matchup between Ole Miss and Auburn is set to be a battle, and fortunately for the Rebels, they have their bye week ahead of them to heal up and prepare.
