The Ole Miss Rebels forced a big turnover in the first quarter that set up a score near the goal line.

OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 16 Ole Miss Rebels sputtered on their first offensive possession on Saturday night, and after a long drive from the Arkansas Razorbacks, they found themselves trailing 7-0 partway through the first quarter. The Rebels struck for a field goal on the next possession, but it was the next drive for the Hogs that proved to be key in the first frame.

Arkansas quarterback K.J. Jefferson looked downfield for a receiver on 3rd and 11, and he found one. The only problem? The receiver was wearing powder blue.

Rebels defender Ashanti Cistrunk was on the receiving end of Jefferson's pass, returning the interception inside the Razorback 10-yard line and setting up the Ole Miss offense with a 1st and goal. You can see the interception below.

It took four plays on the Rebels' next possession, but a direct snap to running back Quinshon Judkins gave him a rushing touchdown and gave Ole Miss a 10-7 lead, one that stood at the end of the first quarter.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart is currently the Rebels' leading rusher on the day with 26 yards on six carries. Through the air, he currently is 2-for-5 for 30 yards through one quarter of play.

Arkansas' lone score of the first quarter came on a 15-play drive, one that saw the Rebels' front seven get pressure on Jefferson but also saw struggles in the secondary, including a costly defensive pass interference call on Deantre Prince.
