WATCH: Ole Miss Rebels' Dayton Wade Makes Insane Catch, Sets Up Another Score
The No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels have struggled at times in the red zone on Saturday night, but they managed to punch it into the end zone after a crazy catch from wide receiver Dayton Wade put them near the goal line.
On 1st and 10 from the Ole Miss 44-yard line, Jaxson Dart took a shot deep down the right side of the field, and even though the ball was slightly underthrown, it didn't matter. Wade made the play anyway, catching the ball through a defender in the process.
You can see the play below.
Wade is currently the leading receiver for Ole Miss on Saturday night, having hauled in five passes for 94 yards in the first half.
It took the Rebels four plays near the goal line to finally get into the end zone, even trying a heavy package with a direct snap to defensive lineman J.J. Pegues. Although that play didn't pay off, it was Jaxson Dart on 4th and goal who finally scored on the ground to give Ole Miss a 20-0 lead early in the second quarter.
This marked Ole Miss' second touchdown drive of the night, the first of which was capped off by an 18-yard rush from Quinshon Judkins. Kicker Caden Davis has also accounted for two field goals to give the Rebels their total of 20 points.
