Alabama continues to pursue class of 2024 linebacker Jordan Lockhart and now he's back on the market.

The longtime Ole Miss verbal commitment made his decision to play with his brother Danny when he was just a sophomore at Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco, but now he is back on the market after another visit to Tuscaloosa.

Lockhart announced the news via social media on Monday evening.

Lockhart initially picked up the offer from Alabama last summer at camp, coming directly from Nick Saban himself.

"An offer from a school like Bama it’s very important because the evaluation is high," Jordan's Father, Danny Lockhart Sr. told The Grove Report after the UA offer. "I know Jordan right now is just allowing the recruiting process to take it’s course. His number one focus is remaining a good student in the classroom and helping St. John Bosco win a championship."

Since committing to Ole Miss back in January of 2022, Lockhart has added offers from programs like Utah, USC, Texas A&M and Tennessee in addition to 'Bama. After opening the process on Monday, Michigan and Oklahoma jumped in with a scholarship offers, too.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker recruit helped St. John Bosco to a high school national title in 2022 with 60 tackles, including 3.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks according to MaxPreps.

Ole Miss now sits with just one verbal commitment in the class of 2024, Chandler (Ariz.) Basha quarterback Demond Williams. The dual-threat elected to play for Lane Kiffin's program back in December and he continues to be courted by other programs, too.
