Gymnast Jade Carey received a hero's welcome back to Corvallis, Oregon on Wednesday after a successful trip to Paris, France for the 2024 Olympics. Fans lined the streets to cheer for Carey, a rising senior at Oregon State University.

In those festivities, Carey confirmed that she is now focused on competing for the Beavers in her senior campaign during the 2024-2024 academic year.

"OSU has been more than just a university — it's been my home, my family, and my source of strength. Today as we celebrate this achievement, I’m thrilled to announce that I’m committed to the 2025 season. I look forward to continuing to compete, pushing my limits, and striving for excellence with the best team by my side.”

Carey helped Team USA's artistic gymnastics squad take home the gold medal in the team competition. Carey also won a bronze medal in the individual vault competition. Carey can now call herself a three-time Olympic medalist after taking home a gold medal in the floor exercise at the 2020-2021 Tokyo Olympics.

Carey has been named Pac-12 gymnast of the year each of the last two seasons for the Beavers.

The college gymnastics season usually begins in January, thought the 2024-2025 schedule has yet to be announced.
