Oregon State Baseball: Adley Rutschman & Steven Kwan Named Starters For MLB All-Star Game

Former Oregon State catcher Adley Rustchman and former outfielder Steven Kwan have been named as starters for the 2024 Major League Baseball All-Star game. Both were major contributors to the Beavers' national championship in 2018,.

Rutschman makes his second trip to the All-Star game after also reaching the Midsummer Classic for the 2023 season. Now a Baltimore Oriole, the former Golden Spikes Award has hit 12 doubles, 15 home runs and 55 RBI this summer.

Kwan makes his first All-Star game with, to-date, a .990 fielding percentage. He is also batting .329 with 16 doubles, nine triples and three home runs.

Rutschman was formerly the #1 overall selection in the 2019 MLB Draft. Kwan was a fifth-round selection in 2018.

The 2024 MLB All-Star is set for July 16 on FOX from the Texas Rangers' home of Globe Life Field.
