Oregon State Baseball: Aiden May Signs For $900,000 With Miami Marlins

Former Oregon State right handed pitcher Aiden May has taken the next step towards making his debut as a professional baseball player. The New Mexico native signed his professional contract with the Marlins: a one-year deal for $900,000. May's slot value as a supplemental pick and the #70 pick was roughly $1.14 million, making him a budget pickup for the Marlins.

Prior to the draft, May was rated the 82nd prospect according to MLB Pipeline. In 2024, May posted a 3.05 ERA, struck out 84 and walked 23. He was named to the All-Pac-12 first team, NCBWA Third-Team All-America, ABCA Third-Team All-America and Perfect Game Third-Team All-America.

May was selected by the Marlins with 70th overall pick in the the 2024 MLB Draft this month. It is not yet clear for which Marlins affiliate May is expected to make his Minor League debut.
