Action Network's Brett McMurphy released his final preseason bowl game projections with the official beginning of the 2024 college football season just a few days away.

McMurphy projects the Oregon State Beavers to reach the 2024 LA Bowl hosted by Gronk, where they would be 2.5-point favorites against the UNLV Rebels.

Oregon State have played in the LA Bowl once before: a 24-13 loss to Utah State following the 2021 season.

All the recently departed members of the Pac-12 are eligible for Pac-12-affiliated bowls this season. The LA Bowl is one of those bowls.

The Beavers have reached a bowl game in each of the last three seasons after a postseason drought for seven seasons from 2014 to 2020. Each of those postseason appearances came under former head coach Jonathan Smith. The Beavs are 12-8 all-time in bowl games.

The Beavers begin their first season under new head coach and former defensive coordinator Trent Bray on August 31 when they host Idaho State. Oregon State will also face UNLV in the regular season this year with an October 19 matchup scheduled for Reser Stadium.
