REPORT: Pittsburgh Steelers Cut Former Beaver Fullback Jack Colletto

As NFL teams finalize their rosters for the 2024 regular season, one former Beaver got some tough news on Tuesday afternoon. Fullback and former Oregon State Beaver Jack Colletto was released by the team.

Update: Colletto was added to Pittsburgh's practice squadon Thursday afternoon.

Colletto had previously been mostly working on special teams in preseason for the Steelers. Last season, he spent time on Pittsburgh's practice squad as well as with the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad. He was an undrafted free agent signing by San Francisco following the 2023 NFL Draft.

Colletto, a Camas, Washington native, won the Paul Hornung Award in 2022, his final year with OSU, as the most versatile player in college football. He played quarterback, fullback, and linebacker for Oregon State. In five seasons with the Beavers, Colletto scored 23 touchdowns from scrimmage and rushed for 401 yards on 110 carries. On defense for OSU, he made 52 total tackles with an interception, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
