Betting Odds for No. 9 Oregon Ducks vs. Washington State Cougars

The Ducks have won their last four meetings against the Cougars and get one of the more dangerous Pac-12 teams at home.
In this story:

Oregon played a solid game against Washington in a 36-33 loss, but surely questions will keep coming around Dan Lanning's decision to go for it on multiple fourth downs in a game that close. But Lanning has proven to be an aggressive coach all season long. Only this time the game didn't fall in Oregon's favor on the brightest stage in college football.

Now we're on to week 8 of the college football season and for Oregon that brings a home matchup against the 4-2 Washington State Cougars.

As we've come to expect, Lanning was very complimentary of Oregon's next opponent during his press conference on Monday evening. He highlighted Washington State quarterback Cameron Ward, saying he has the fastest release of any quarterback the Ducks have faced this year and excels at extending plays, refusing to go down.

Oregon's head coach also compared Washington State to Texas Tech, saying that's the team the Cougars mimic the most of the Ducks 2023 opponents thus far. The Cougars are a team that's historically known for their offense, and Oregon may have just faced the best offense in college football last week in Michael Penix Jr. and the Huskies.

Washington State has given Oregon a lot of great games throughout their time in the Pac-12, and the Ducks have won the last four meetings between the two teams, with the most recent being a 44-41 victory in Pullman last season.
