The Ducks and Huskies have earned a prime time slot for their top-10 showdown in week 7.
In this story:

The No. 8 Oregon Ducks (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12) and the No. 7 Washington Huskies (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12) are on a collision course for a massive rivalry showdown on October 14.

While both teams are on a bye week following wins in week 5, a majority of the Pac-12 attention is now on a huge top-10 matchup set to take place in Seattle.

On Monday, it was announced that the game will kick off in prime time at 12:30 pm PT. The game will be broadcast on ABC.

Oregon vs. Washington has been one of the best rivalries in college football, especially in recent years.

The Huskies won the last meeting between the two teams in 2022, taking home a 37-34 win over the Ducks at Autzen Stadium in Eugene.

Now in 2023, Oregon and Washington are two of the hottest teams in college football. Oregon is off to a 5-0 start led by quarterback Bo Nix, while Tosh Lupoi and Dan Lanning's defense continues rounding into form, already matching its sack total (18) from 2022 in just five games.

As for Washington, quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is viewed by some as the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy thanks to his work leading one of the best passing attacks the sport has to offer.

You know head coach Dan Lanning has this game circled on his calendar after the Ducks dropped both of their rivalry games to Washington and Oregon State in his debut season as Oregon's head coach.

Both Oregon and Washington look like legitimate college football playoff contenders, but October 14's rivalry showdown will serve as the best litmus test for both teams in 2023.
