The No. 9 Oregon Ducks (5-1) face off against the Washington State Cougars (4-2) at home in Eugene in week 8.

Bo Nix and the Ducks are looking to bounce back after suffering a 36-33 rivalry loss to the Washington Huskies last week in Seattle.

Oregon enters Saturday's contest as a heavy favorite, but Washington State has always proven to be a dangerous team. They have one of the best quarterbacks in the conference in Cameron Ward, but they've been largely one-dimensional so far in 2023.

Check back often as we bring you the latest updates from Saturday's action.

2:07. Oregon punts and Washington State takes over around midfield.

8:53. Bo Nix 17-yard touchdown pass to Tez Johnson. The Ducks move the ball down the field with Terrance Ferguson and Jordan James. Bucky Irving was banged up on the drive but he's able to walk off the field on his own power. Oregon leads WSU 38-16

13:52 Teitum Tuioti tips the Cam Ward pass on fourth down and the Cougars turn it over on downs. Oregon takes over at their own 36. Oregon leads WSU 31-16.

Fourth Quarter

End of the third. Oregon leads WSU 31-16

3:56: Bucky Irving 43-yard touchdown run. Bo Nix connected with Tez Johnson for a couple of chunk plays before Irving was off to the races. Oregon leads WSU 31-16.

6:05: Dean Janikowski 50-yard field goal is GOOD. Nikko Reed almost came away with an interception and Evan Williams cleaned the play up at the end. Blake Purchase recorded his first sack of the year. Oregon leads WSU 24-16

10:13: Bo Nix 42-yard touchdown pass to Bucky Irving. The Ducks move the ball on the ground after not calling a single run play to open the second half. Oregon leads WSU 24-13

12:02. Washington State punt. Jahlil Florence comes up with a sack on his first snap of the day. Steve Stephens gets a pass break up. Oregon leads WSU 17-13

13:17: Oregon punts. Bo Nix had an 18-yard completion to Troy Franklin but the two couldn't connect on third down. Ajani Cornelius picks up another penalty.

Third quarter

Halftime: Oregon leads Washington State 17-13 and will get the ball to start the second half.

0:01 Dean Janikowski 33-yard field goal is GOOD. Cougs move the ball down the field with explosive passing plays, particularly to Kyle Williams. Oregon leads WSU17-13.

0:44: Bo Nix two-yard touchdown run. Big runs from Bucky Irving and Jordan James set the Ducks up nicely. Oregon has prioritized the run and it's paying off in a big way. Oregon leads WSU 17-10.

2:30: Lincoln Victor wide receiver pass falls incomplete on fourth down and Oregon forces a turnover. Cam Ward and wide receivers have moved the ball effectively against the defense but Oregon gets an important stop.

5:57: Bucky Irving two-yard touchdown run. Ducks go 75 yards in 9 plays. Bo Nix narrowly missed Franklin on a deep pass down the field. The offense finally gets going after a lot of quality runs from Jordan James and Irving. Oregon ties the game at 10.

9:22 Nakia Watson four-yard touchdown run. Cougs go 97 yards in seven plays from inside their own five-yard line and make it look easy. Cameron Ward is keeping plays alive and slinging the ball to his wide receivers. WSU leads Oregon 10-3

12:31: Bo Nix punts inside the WSU five-yard line. Oregon's offense has struggled aside from some great plays from Troy Franklin and Stein continues to call screen plays that go nowhere. The offensive line has been blown up by the Cougars. Game still tied 3-3.

Second Quarter

0:11: WSU goes three and out after more unsuccessful screens. Trikweze Bridges breaks up the third down pass. Oregon takes over, score tied 3-3.

1:40: Camden Lewis 27-yard field goal is GOOD. Tez Johnson took a quick pass over the middle down the field for 46 yards but the Ducks stalled deep in WSU territory. The Ducks called a double pass play and Tez Johnson couldn't connect with Bo Nix in the end zone. Nix has had to scramble early on, but Troy Franklin looks really good. Oregon and Washington State tied 3-3.

4:37 Dean Janikowski 36-yard field goal is GOOD. Washington State moved the ball with relative ease through the air on the drive. Not a lot of pressure from Oregon's defense, but Matayo Uiagalelei recorded a nice TFL on a run play. Washington State leads 3-0.

8:19: Camden Lewis 47-yard field goal NO GOOD. After a chunk gain from Terrance Ferguson to open the game, Nix connected with Troy Franklin for a touchdown but it was called back after a holding penalty on RT Ajani Cornelius. Score remains 0-0.

11:31: WSU gets one first down after a couple of pass plays to open the game. Jamal Hill blew up a screen and the Cougs punt to end their first drive.

Oregon rolling with Triwkeze Bridges and Nikko Reed as the starting cornerbacks. Khyree Jackson and Jahlil Florence both got banged up last week against Washington but should be available today. *Update*: Khyree Jackson now in street clothes on the sideline.
