LOOK: Massive Bo Nix Billboard Going up in New York as Heisman Hype Builds

The Oregon Ducks quarterback is in the discussion for the most prestigious award in college football ahead of the 2023 season.

You heard about 'Joey Heisman' in 2001.

Now get ready to hear about 'Bo Heisman' more than twenty years later in 2023.

If you're walking around Manhattan, you'll see a massive billboard of Oregon Ducks quarterback Bo Nix going up in The City that Never Sleeps.

This isn't the first time we've seen a former Duck put on display in New York. Former Oregon quarterback Joey Harrington had a similar billboard put up in the early 2000s ahead of his final season with the Ducks.

Now Nix finds himself being viewed in a similar light.

After transferring from Auburn before the 2022 season, he found new life with Kenny Dillingham and the Ducks in Eugene. The Pinson, Ala. native threw for more than 3,500 yards and nearly 30 touchdowns with Oregon and also ran for 510 yards and 14 touchdowns in a 10-win season.

Entering 2023 he's one widely-viewed as one of the best quarterbacks in college football. But he's far from the only talented passer in the Pac-12, as the conference of champions also boasts reigning Heisman trophy winner Caleb Williams at USC, Michael Pennix at Washington and Cameron Rising at Utah.

If Nix hopes to capture the trophy in 2023, he'll need to replicate the success he had a season ago and do it with a new-look offensive line and a new offensive coordinator in Will Stein, who joins the team after coaching at UTSA.

Oregon's schedule is no cakewalk. They'll hit the road to face former Duck quarterback Tyler Shough at Texas Tech and face both the Washington Huskies and Utah Utes on the road.

The Ducks were picked fourth in the preseason Pac-12 media poll and aim to prove doubters wrong behind head coach Dan Lanning and a roster that's reloaded using the transfer portal and the nation's No. 9 recruiting class in 2023.
