You know the college football season is quickly approaching when the AP releases new rankings.

On Monday, the AP preseason poll was released.

It featured many familiar faces at the top including the Georgia Bulldogs, the back-to-back national champions, while the rival Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes were listed in consecutive spots.

The Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers rounded out a top five that featured three SEC teams.

The Oregon Ducks were ranked 15 coming off of a 10-3 debut season under head coach Dan Lanning in 2022. The Ducks open the 2023 season at home against the Portland State Vikings.
