Oregon Fan Gets Loose on the Field, Taken Down by Ducks' RB Cyrus Habibi-Likio

The game being played out on the field between Oregon and California was becoming a snooze-fest. Through over a half of play, the two teams had struggled to score more than 10 points combined, and multiple drives had stalled ending in numerous punts and a battle of field position.
Then an Oregon fan took things into his own hands and gave the crowd some life.
Midway through the third quarter, a college-aged fan took the field and started running inside the lines during a media timeout. The incident played out for more than a minute, as the fan jogged all over, with security officers doing a half-assed job of trying to stop him. Then, at long last, Oregon running back Cyrus Habibi-Likio put an end to the fun.

Habibi-Likio did what the security officers couldn't and he took the kid to the ground without incident in what was one of the more impressive tackles of the game. After the Ducks ended the contest with a 17-7 victory, CHL commented on the incident.
Cyrus Habibi-Likio said he "feels bad" for the fan he tackled. "If he has Instagram or Twitter, you can follow me and message me and we can go get ice cream. ... He was having fun but we had to go. We had to get going."

Fortunately for the Ducks, they seemed to find their footing after this all happened, and they quickly regained the lead from Cal and ended up winning by double digits. Maybe this was just what they needed to get the job done. If nothing else, it made a forgettable game memorable, and the tackle by Habibi-Likio will go down in Oregon Football Lore. Whoever the fan is, you gave us entertainment and history tonight, and for that, we thank you.
