Oregon Ducks wide receiver Tez Johnson will return for his senior season. He shared his decision over social media on Thursday morning.

“One last time,” Johnson wrote.

The 5-foot-10, 160-pound wide receiver caught 86 passes for 1,182 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns for the Ducks in 2023.

His 86 receptions are an Oregon single-season record and he was one of two wide receivers to pass 1,000 yards this year, trailing only Troy Franklin (1,383).

Johnson had a strong connection with quarterback Bo Nix all season and his production exploded during the second half of the season as he was an integral part of Will Stein’s offense.

His speed, route running and playmaking ability will be a major asset for the Ducks in 2024. Junior Adams is projected to return a wide receiver room that consists of players like Traeshon Holden, Gary Bryant Jr., Jurrion Dickey and Kyler Kasper among others.

New quarterback Dillon Gabriel will have plenty of weapons to throw to upon his arrival from Oklahoma. Oregon had one of the most potent offenses in the country this season and that should continue to be the case in 2024 with playmakers like Johnson poised to make a major impact in the second year under Will Stein.
