Oregon Ducks junior offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson is among some of  the best players to ever come through Eugene.

On Thursday, Powers-Johnson became the fifth unanimous All-American in Oregon program history after earning all-America distinction from the American Football Coaches Association.

He joins running back LaMichael James (2010), quarterback Marcus Mariota (2014), offensive lineman Penei Sewell (2019) and defensive lineman Kayvon Thibodeaux (2021) as the only players to earn such a distinction.

Powers-Johnson was also named a first-team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation, the Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America and Sporting News. Starting all 13 games for Oregon, the junior allowed just one pressure on quarterback Bo Nix in 471 pass-blocking opportunities.

He was the highest-graded center in college football according to Pro Football Focus, with a pass-blocking grade of 91.3, a run-blocking grade of 85.2 and a top overall grade of 84.6.

The Draper, Utah native continues adding to a long list of achievements after taking home the 2023 Rimington Trophy last week, which is awarded to the most outstanding center in college football. He's the first Duck to win the award and the first winner from the Pac-12 conference.

The 6-foot-3, 320-pound mauler was the center piece of an Oregon offensive line that was among the best in college football all season, allowing just five sacks, which is the fewest in college football.

A'lique Terry's offensive line is also one of four finalists for the Joe Moore Award, which recognizes the top offensive line in college football.

Powers-Johnson declared for the 2024 NFL Draft earlier this week following three successful seasons with the Ducks. He looks to follow in the footsteps of great centers that have come through Eugene including Max Unger, Hroniss Grasu, Jake Hanson and Alex Forsyth.
