Midway through the 2019 College Football season, it's safe to say that the Oregon Ducks have a few of the best players in the nation. With a 5-1 record and complete control of their destiny, the Ducks have seen impressive performances from multiple players, and those standout athletes are now getting the recognition they deserve across the nation.

Pro Football Focus released its midseason All-American team this week, and the group features three players from Oregon on the starting squad — LT Penei Sewell, TE Jacob Breeland, and CB Deommodore Lenoir.

Perhaps the easiest shoo-in was Sewell. The sophomore offensive lineman has had a dominant second season, allowing a 1.9% pressure rate with just one sack given up. With an overall grade of 94.0, Sewell ranks among the best in the nation when it comes to blockers, and an early buzz for his 2021 draft stock is starting to skyrocket.

The recognition for Breeland as the best tight end in the nation is bittersweet, as it was announced earlier this week that he would miss the rest of the season with a knee injury that was suffered in the game against Colorado. Still, the senior was the Ducks' leading receiver through six games, and he deserves to be heralded.

He hauled in 26 receptions on just 32 targeted passes, seeing the national-best 158.3 passer rating on his targets. He led the country through the first half of the season with six touchdown receptions while also moving the sticks for 11 more first downs.

As for Lenoir, the 'bump-n-run' cornerback deserves a lot of credit for Oregon's suffocating defense this season, as the junior has allowed just 11 receptions on 26 targets, and he's made seven total stops on defense. It could be argued that just about any player on the Ducks defense deserves to be mentioned for the All-American team, but Lenoir is a great choice.

Aside from those three players, left guard Shane Lemieux was given second-team honors.
