USC Trojans linebacker Mason Cobb is taking a unique approach to preparing for Saturday's matchup with the No. 6 Oregon Ducks.

Most teams like to use the film from their previous game to see what went wrong and look for areas of improvement. But that's not the case for Cobb.

Following Tuesday's practice, Cobb was asked what he saw on the film from USC's 52-42 loss to Washington and what went wrong in that game.

"Didn't watch the film. Nope. Moved on from that game," the senior linebacker said.

That's not something most would expect to hear from the leader of any defense, much less a defense that's looking for all the help it can get after Lincoln Riley fired defensive coordinator Alex Grinch earlier this week.

Cobb, who transferred to USC after spending three years at Oklahoma State, is the Trojans' leading tackler and has been an important piece to their defense.

A pair of former Trojans voiced their response to Cobb's comments as USC prepares to face Oregon, which has one of the best offenses in college football.
