Brock Moore is getting the opportunity he has only dreamed about since he was a kid.

With the 213th pick in the seventh round of the MLB Draft, the Seattle Mariners drafted the right-handed pitcher out of the University of Oregon. Moore helped the Ducks advance to their second straight Super Regional after winning the Santa Barbara regional. Oregon finished with an overall record of 40-20, 19-11 in the Pac-12.

Moore was one of the top weapons out of the bullpen finishing with a 4-1 overall record and a 5.81 ERA. In 17 games with the Ducks, he had 52 strikeouts to go along with 20 walks in 31 innings pitched.

Before he transferred to Oregon, he spent two season with Menlo College in the Bay Area who played at the NAIA level. Moore had a 2-7 overall record with a 3.50 ERA in 17 games played with the Oaks from 2022-23.

The highlight of his college career had to come against the Oregon State Beavers. On April 30th, he struck out eight consecutive batters in thanks to his consistently touched 100-MPH fastball.

"Moore is a 6-foot-6, 230-pound righthander with a big time fastball who spent three seasons in junior college before transferring to Oregon for the 2024 season. Moore sits in the upper 90s with his fastball and has gotten the pitch up to 101 mph, and unsurprisingly pitches heavily off the pitch given its velocity. He will also throw a low-80s slider but lacks feel to land the pitch—perhaps given an extremely lengthy arm action—and will also mix in an upper-80s changeup to lefthanded hitters. Moore is a straight reliever prospect with plenty of effort in his delivery, but his large frame and larger fastball velocity could make him a day two or day three target as a senior sign who will be 24 on draft day."

Moore will stay associated with the Pacific Northwest as he hopes to continue to impress the Seattle scouts through the minor leagues. His slot value stands at $261,600.
