Dillon Gresham Details Oregon Commitment
Oregon continues to recruit at an elite level following the commitment of 2024 San Jacinto (Calif.) wide receiver Dillon Gresham on Monday.
He broke down his decision with Ducks Digest.
"It truly felt like home," Gresham said of why he chose the Ducks. "It was a feeling decision too. I could tell when I stepped on campus at Oregon. From how the coaches showed their hospitality and everything. It was the place to be."
Gresham just made his commitment public but knew that he wanted to be a Duck after his second trip in April.
"The second visit I already knew. I told my family this is where I really truly see myself playing ball at and getting an experienced life on my own."
Junior Adams has been an elite recruiter since joining Dan Lanning's staff and Gresham spoke about his future position coach.
"He's a real down-to-earth guy," he said. "He's like a second father figure. He's really laid back and chill but he also has that drive to push and make receivers better."
The Ducks' newest commit is yet another vote of confidence in the vision Dan Lanning has for his program in Eugene.
"I think he does a real good job taking care of the players and just taking care of the program. I think what he's trying to do is going to be really special."
Oregon's 2024 class just cracked the top five nationally and Gresham is excited to be a part of it.
"It's amazing already. I know in the near future it's gonna be even better than what it is now," he said. "We keep getting the players we need and we're really gonna change Oregon to a national championship team."
What kind of a player are the Ducks getting?
"Just a humble baller. Someone who doesn't talk more but shows more. Just a playmaker all around. A very versatile player. A player who's gonna keep working hard in the classroom, off the classroom. Someone who's gonna give their best effort and their best foot forward. That's who the Ducks are getting."
Gresham had offers from around the country and had the opportunity to see a lot of programs, but one thing really made Oregon different.
"I would say the future. The future I see with Oregon. That's the biggest jump. What I see Oregon potentially being, that's what stuck out to me the most."
Gresham joins Jordan Anderson and Tyseer Denmark as the wide receivers Oregon has committed in 2024.
