Jason Brown Jr. Announces Top Three Schools
2024 Seattle (Wash.) O'Dea running back Jason Brown Jr. just took a major step in his recruitment.
On Thursday, the four-star back announced his top three schools, and the Oregon Ducks made the cut.
The other two schools in the running are the Michigan State Spartans and the hometown Washington Huskies.
Brown Jr. has been a frequent visitor in Eugene throughout his recruitment, taking his most recent trip out to Oregon for the school's Saturday Night Live Camp.
Listed at 5'10", 205 pounds, he's made a name for himself as one of the best all-purpose backs in the country. He's rated a four-star (0.9432) recruit by the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 131 player nationally, the No. 11 running back and the No. 2 recruit in Washington.

One of the best players in the Northwest has yet to announce a decision date, but it's fair to say that will come after he takes his official visits to each of his finalists.
The Ducks have one running back commit already in the 2024 class in Washington, D.C. running back Da'Jaun Riggs, who committed to Oregon earlier this summer.
Torres' Take
I've been reporting that Brown is one to keep and eye on for the Ducks and this news only confirms that the interest is clearly mutual.
Now Brown is one of the smaller backs that Oregon is recruiting, but his versatility is what really sets him apart. In the event that Oregon is able to land a verbal commitment, he'd be viewed as the lightning to Riggs' thunder in the 2024 class.
The Ducks will continue to recruit 2024 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei running back Nate Frazier, who recently committed to Georgia, but Brown is still near the top of the board. I give the Ducks just as good a shot as any of his finalists right now in what's probably a pretty even race.
