Jeremiah McClellan Flips Commitment From Ohio State Buckeyes to Oregon Ducks
Dan Lanning and the Ducks just added another top-50 talent to the fold.
2024 St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan has flipped his commitment from the Ohio State Buckeyes to the Oregon Ducks.
The six-foot, 190-pound pass catcher had been committed to Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes since August 13, but Junior Adams and Dan Lanning continued to work behind the scenes. He took a visit out to Eugene in September for Oregon's game against the Colorado Buffaloes and the Oregon staff also visited him on the road out in St. Louis earlier this month.
With his flip from a new Big Ten foe, McClellan is now a main headliner in Oregon's 2024 recruiting class. He's one of eleven All-Americans headed to play for Dan Lanning in Eugene.
McClellan is ranked a four-star (0.9766) recruit according to the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 49 player nationally, the No. 13 wide receiver and the No. 3 recruit in Missouri. He's the highest-rated wide receiver to commit to Oregon since 2025 Tampa Bay (Fla.) Tech standout Dallas Wilson, who announced his pledge in January.
The Ducks also signed former five-star receiver Jurrion Dickey in the 2023 recruiting class from Menlo Atherton High School in Northern California.
McClellan marks a continued emphasis placed on the state of Missouri, as Oregon signed four-star St. Louis (Mo.) Hazelwood Central defensive lineman Tionne Gray earlier on Wednesday.
As for McClellan, he's the third wide receiver in Oregon's 2024 recruiting class, joining San Jacinto (Calif.) product Dillon Gresham and Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei Under Armour All-American Jack Ressler.
After starring in St. Louis, it won't be long before McClellan is hauling in touchdown passes for the Ducks inside Autzen Stadium.
