Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks have assembled one of the better defensive line hauls in the country for the 2024 recruiting class.

A key part of Tony Tuioti's work at the position has been Durant (Okla.) defensive lineman Xadavien Sims, who committed to the Ducks in May over schools like Oklahoma, Michigan State and TCU.

On Friday, the Oregon defensive line commit was selected to the Adidas All-American Bowl.

The Adidas All-American Bowl is held in San Antonio, Texas every year features the best players from throughout the country.

In 2023 Oregon had a number of commits earn the same Adidas All-American selection, including defensive end Matayo Uiagalelei, quarterback Austin Novosad, wide receiver Jurrion Dickey and defensive lineman Johnny Bowens II.

Sims is the latest future Duck to earn All-American distinction this cycle, joining new linebacker commit Brayden Platt, quarterback Michael Van Buren, safety Aaron Flowers, cornerback Ify Obidegwu, linebacker Kamar Mothudi and wide receiver Jack Ressler.

Listed at 6'3", 275 pounds, Sims is one of the most athletic defensive linemen you'll find anywhere in the country.

It doesn't look like playing tight end is in the cards once he gets to Eugene, but he did have an impressive 7on7 season as a tight end playing for team C4 Sports Performance.

The Ducks may not be finished adding talent along the defensive line this cycle, as they're scheduled to get an official visit from Florida edge rusher Solomon Williams next month and continue pushing hard for five-star Southern California defensive lineman Aydin Breland

Dan Lanning knows winning at the line of scrimmage is a key mark of a national championship team, and bringing in players like Sims should help the Ducks make that jump along the defensive line.
