Oregon Makes Another Strong Impression on Isaiah Mozee

The Ducks recently hosted the No. 1 recruit from Missouri, who gives the latest in his recruitment.
In this story:

Oregon already has two stellar verbal commitments at wide receiver in the 2025 class in Dallas Wilson and Adrian Wilson, but Junior Adams and Dan Lanning aren't about to get content.

Which is why they hosted Lee's Summit North (MO) wide receiver Isaiah Mozee for one of their two Junior Day events last month.

The 6-foot, 190-pound pass catcher was in Eugene last Fall but wanted to get back out to campus.

"It's been a minute since I've seen it," he said. "I saw it when it was Colorado, but I wanted to see it again. Have a feel of the coaches, see the coaches before the dead period."

The consistency in Oregon's approach is part of what keeps the Ducks in the picture.

"It was fun. Everything about it was so consistent. Every time I go down there it's always consistent. It's always fun, it's always a great time. So we had three guys, the receivers there, Dallas (Wilson) and Dakorien (Moore). It was kind of like they wanted us to be there at the same time."

Mozee got to spend time with multiple members of the Oregon staff during his trip and the dialogue between him and the school continues to be strong.

"I kicked it with Dan (Lanning), Coach (Junior) Adams, Coach (Will) Stein, the O-line coach (A'lique Terry). Like everybody," he said. "Everybody speaks so it's kind of like a fun environment. You can talk to everybody when you go there."

We've seen a theme emerge of Oregon prioritizing top players out of Missouri under Dan Lanning, and a long-standing relationship with Mozee could play into the Ducks' favor.

"I've been knowing Dan since I was a little kid. He worked with my Dad in high school so ever since then I had a relationship with Dan."

What stands out most about the Ducks for the Missouri native?

"The environment. The opportunity. Places that Oregon can be with the right people. The look of that sounds pretty interesting. Something to think about."

Now that we're in a recruiting dead period, Mozee says he's starting to think about his official visits, and schools like Oregon and Nebraska are two that have positioned themselves to receive official visits.

Mozee would ideally like to make his college commitment before the start of his senior season at Lee's Summit North.

Isaiah Mozee Off the Field

"I'm a great student. Turn my work in always. I would say I'm chill. I don't really go out much and all that. I love to cook and I love to watch movies and I love football of course. And training of course."

Added that his signature dish is fried chicken.
