Oregon will host one of their newly-offered recruits this weekend when they face the USC Trojans.

2025 Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe safety Rylon Dillard-Allen was landed an offer from the Ducks in October and isn't wasting time getting up to Eugene.

He previewed the trip and discussed the latest in his recruitment with Ducks Digest

"I was originally supposed to go up to Oregon before the season for the SNL camp that I got invited to and they were originally gonna offer me there," he said of the trip. "And I transferred so I had to sit five games, so they wanted to wait to see my film before they offered me and then once they offered me they wanted to get me down as soon as possible."

The winning and family culture are a few of the things that are standing out about the Ducks early for Dillard-Allen, who's been in contact with multiple members of the coaching staff.

"I would say I talk to Coach (Chris) Hampton and Coach Kam (Kamran Araghi) the most."

The relationships with Oregon are not brand new, as the staff has known about him for a while.

"I've been talking to Coach Kam for about a year now and he's been trying to put me on with the coaches, I mess with Coach Kam heavy, that's my dog," Dillard-Allen said. "I've just recently been talking to Coach Hampton. We check in with each other like every week."

The Oregon offer was a big one for Dillard-Allen, and it could be the start of many more to come.

"When I got my Oregon offer I started getting more recognition. Before my Oregon offer I didn't have any stars. I wasn't ranked in my state. Once I got Oregon I jumped to No. 1 ranked in '25 on On3 and I'm number five on 247. It just gave me more recognition and I appreciate that from the Ducks."

What's he going to have his eye on this weekend when he gets to Eugene?

"I'm gonna be watching how the defense functions," he said. "I'm gonna be watching the safeties and how the coaches and players interact. Obviously I'm gonna be looking around at the facilities and the player housing."

The Arizona product is picking up attention and commented on where he's at in the process.

"Right now I only have six offers and I've been talking to a lot of schools, lot of big schools. So right now I'm just watching it play out as of this moment."

A select group of schools have been contacting him most.

"I would say Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Kansas State and Duke."

Arizona is another school that Dillard-Allen has been linked to a lot as a recruit.

"I go to U of A pretty often. I've been to all the home games so far," he said. "They treat me like family up there. I'm pretty cool with the staff up there."

What's he looking for in a school?

"I'm looking for something to just help me in my future life. Obviously I'm looking for how much a team wins and stuff like that."

Looking ahead he plans to be in Seattle to see the Washington Huskies in the Apple Cup later this month.
