The Latest With Oregon Commit Fox Crader After Landing Big Offers
2024 Vancouver (Wash.) Evergreen offensive tackle Fox Crader committed to the Oregon Ducks in November of last year, but he's seen some big-time programs enter his recruitment. Texas A&M, Georgia and Auburn have all offered the 6-foot-6, 285-pound mauler within the last month and the Ducks had a staff change with Adrian Klemm taking a job to coach the New England Patriots offensive line.
"It feels great and I'm blessed to be in the position I am, but hard work pays off," Crader said in reaction to the new offers. "I'm not necessarily surprised because I believe in myself and I'm confident. At the end of the day when schools like Georgia and Texas A&M and Auburn offer you, you kind of have to be a little surprised and excited honestly. It feels great."
Crader took his last visit to Oregon in January and he's set for a busy spring on the recruiting trail with a trio of visits locked in.
"Oklahoma is April 3. Texas A&M is April 6 and then Texas the next day on the 7th."
One of the top offensive linemen in the Northwest also hopes to see other schools in the Pac-12 and SEC as his recruitment goes national.
"I'm working on going this month with my Mom to go visit USC and UCLA, probably in a couple weeks," he said. "And then I'm also trying to plan another visit to Georgia, Alabama and LSU."
He'll get a good feel for other schools this spring, but he also plans to take multiple trips out to Eugene, including one to meet new offensive line coach A'lique Terry.
"I'm definitely gonna be back soon to go meet the new O-line coach, Coach Terry probably at some point this month," Crader said. "And then I'll be there for a spring practice as well as the spring game in April. I don't have those dates scheduled but I'll definitely be there for all three of those."

Adrian Klemm shined on Lanning's staff in Eugene, but his departure didn't catch Crader by surprise.
"He made it clear to me, he kind of built up to it. He visited me multiple times and he told me what the deal was so it wasn't like a bomb was dropped on me and I knew it was coming," he said. "So when it happened, obviously I was hurt but I was ready and he reassured me that everything was gonna be cool and he believes in Coach Lanning and he'll find someone new and obviously he did. Everyone thinks really highly of Coach Terry, so I'm excited to meet him."
Some fans have been quick to draw conclusions as Klemm's departure coincides with plans to visit other schools but Crader set the record straight.
"I feel like something that a lot of people are getting confused is that when Coach Klemm left you know, now they're seeing all this stuff about new schools hitting me up and then I'm gonna go visit new schools. I had already planned on visiting all these schools and making sure that committing to Oregon was the best decision that I could have made."

With new schools reaching out and visits on the horizon, what's the status of Crader's pledge to the Ducks?
"I'm still committed. I'm still solid to Oregon," Crader said. "It's not easy to just throw away months and months of recruiting and relationship building because I'm getting new offers. I still have close relationships with the majority of the coaches at Oregon. I committed to Coach Klemm and the University of Oregon, but at the end of the day I committed to the University of Oregon."
Crader added that he wants to use spring visits to narrow down a final five for official visits, which he hopes to take in the summer so he can focus on football when his senior season comes around.
