2026 Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain defensive lineman Tony Cumberland has committed to the Oregon Ducks.

He announced his commitment to the Ducks following a trip to Eugene for this weekend's game against Colorado. Cumberland chose the Ducks over competing scholarship offers from schools like Ohio State, Ole Miss, Texas and Washington.

Cumberland is listed at 6'4", 250 pounds and is rated a five-star (0.9886) recruit by the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 27 player nationally, the No. 4 defensive lineman and the No. 1 recruit in Arizona.

The newest commit for Dan Lanning and company is the first pledge in the 2026 recruiting class.

He's the third five-star recruit to commit to Oregon in the Lanning era, following in the footsteps of Adidas All-American wide receiver Jurrion Dickey in the 2023 recruiting class, and left tackle Josh Conerly Jr. in the 2022 recruiting class.

Cumberland's pledge shows an increased priority placed on the state of Arizona, after the Ducks landed a trio of recruits from the state in 2023 with Cole Martin (Basha), My'Keil Gardner (Liberty) and A'Mauri Washington (Chandler) all inking their letters of intent with the Ducks.

There's a long way to go before Cumberland signs with Oregon, as he still has three years of high school remaining, but it never hurts to get elite talent committed to play for your program.
