Where Brayden Platt Ranks Among Oregon's All-Time Linebacker Commits

Brayden Platt is the second-highest rated recruit in Oregon's 2024 recruiting class after committing to the Ducks on Monday.
In this story:

Oregon isn't a school that's been known historically for its defense, but that may soon change under second-year head coach Dan Lanning.

Lanning quickly went to work reloading Oregon's defense and is making sure to stack his roster with top-end talent on both sides of the ball.

We've seen great linebackers come through Eugene in recent years, highlighted by players like Troy Dye (Minnesota Vikings) and Noah Sewell (Chicago Bears).

On Monday, the Ducks landed a commitment from elite linebacker Brayden Platt. So it feels like a great time to see how he stacks up with some of the highest rated linebackers the Ducks have signed.

Platt is part of one of the best linebacker hauls in the country for 2024, as Dan Lanning, Tosh Lupoi and Brian Michalowski continue to bring in some of the best athletes the country has to offer.

The Ducks are likely finished at linebacker for the 2024 recruiting cycle but will continue to pursue five-star Georgia linebacker commit Justin Williams until he communicates he isn't open to further contact.
