Nwaneri has taken a pair of visits to Eugene since Dan Lanning was hired. One in August and one in January. He's the biggest name on a long list of elite defensive linemen the Ducks are in contention for in 2024 including Elijah Rushing, David Stone Jr., Jordan Ross and Joseph Jonah-Ajonye, who have all been on campus lately.

Oregon has already landed a verbal commitment from one player in Missouri this cycle, flipping defensive lineman Tionne Gray from Eliah Drinkwitz and the in-state Tigers in April. The Ducks are also pursuing 2024 St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan, who visited for the spring game.

Lanning is originally from the Kansas City area, which could certainly give the Ducks an additional push in a recruitment that is currently being led by the Oklahoma Sooners according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball.
