Seth Lundy, an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection, announced Wednesday that he will forgo his final season of eligibility and enter the NBA Draft.

"My time at Penn State has been nothing short of a blessing. I've cherished every moment and will always call this place home," he said in a Twitter post.

Lundy played an enormous role in Penn State's success this season as its top defender, second-leading scorer and 3-point shooter. Lundy finished second in the Big Ten (behind teammate Andrew Funk) in 3-point percentage (40.2 percent) and third in 3-pointers per game (2.57). He averaged 14.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and produced three double-double games.

"We are so proud of Seth and stand behind him every step of the way as he pursues his dream of becoming a professional basketball player," head coach Micah Shrewsberry said in a statement. "Seth has the talent, work ethic and determination to succeed at the next level. He’ll always have a support system in myself and his Penn State family."

Lundy entered the NCAA Transfer Portal in 2021 but remained after Penn State hired Shrewsberry, which the coach acknowledged at the NCAA Tournament.

"I told those guys, you know, like Seth and Myles [Dread], they didn't have to stay," Shrewsberry said. "...  They chose the hard route, right? There was two routes to take. There was the easy route and there was the hard route. They chose the hard route."

Dorsey averaged 1.6 points and 8.2 minutes per game. He played in 16 games, starting nine.

Andrew Funk to Compete in 3-Point Contest at the Final Four

Former Penn State guard Andrew Funk, who led the Big Ten in 3-point shooting this season, is headed to the Final Four to participate in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships. Funk is among the shooters scheduled to compete in the 3-point contest March 30 in Houston.

ESPN2 will televise the event, which begins at 7:30 p.m. EST.

Funk became a Penn State folk hero in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, when he scored 27 points on 8-for-10 from 3-point range to propel the Lions over Texas A&M. Funk set Penn State records for scoring and 3-pointers in the NCAA Tournament.

Funk led the Big Ten in 3-point success rate (41.2 percent) and 3-pointers per game (3.03) this season. His 112 3-pointers for the season ranks second in Penn State history.
