How to Watch, Stream Penn State Vs. Minnesota Basketball
Does Penn State men's basketball have one more run in the college basketball season? The Nittany Lions could get that started Saturday in a visit to Minnesota for its last Big Ten regular-season road game. If the Nittany Lions start a win streak, it would be interrupted, since they don't play next week (coinciding with Penn State University's spring break).
But this would be a good way to develop some momentum for the Big Ten Conference Tournament, which also is in Minneapolis. Here's what we're watching (and how to watch) in the Penn State-Minnesota game.

About the Nittany Lions: Penn State didn't play a bad game Tuesday at Iowa in a 90-81 loss. The bench came up strong with 39 points (RayQuawndis Mitchell had 16), and Qudus Wahab tied a season-high with 18 points. However, another rough road shooting start (the Lions made one of their first nine 3-point attempts) conspired against them. Penn State coach Mike Rhoades really has done a remarkable job juggling his patchwork roster toward a chance at finishing the Big Ten regular season at .500. That would be an accomplishment. To get there, Penn State first must win at Minnesota, where it's 4-22 but did win last season. Some Big Ten Network analysts even have floated Rhoades' name as a conference coach-of-the-year candidate. While that's unlikely, Rhoades deserves credit for trusting his team to continue after Kanye Clary's departure. Things haven't been easy, especially on the road, but the Lions just might be better for it.
About the Gophers: Coach Ben Johnson's team is one game behind Penn State in the conference loss column, giving this game some importance for tournament seeds. Right now, both are outside having to play a Wednesday game in the Big Ten Tournament. Minnesota was there for the pivotal point on Penn State's schedule in January. The Gophers overcame a 16-point deficit at the Bryce Jordan Center to stun Penn State 83-74. That also was the game in which Penn State's Kanye Clary was injured. Since then, Minnesota is 4-4, having lost consecutive road games at Nebraska and Illinois. They were wildly discordant games. Minnesota scored a season-low 55 points against the Cornhuskers and tied a season-high with 97 at Illinois. All five starters finished in double figures against the Illini. Watch for center Dawson Garcia, who tagged Penn State for 20 points last time and who scored 29 against Illinois.
