Penn State's 2024 Recruiting Class By the Numbers
Penn State coach James Franklin celebrated a "drama-free" Early Signing Day on Wednesday, signing 25 players to the 2024 recruiting class without any whisper of flip or decommitment. "In 2023, there's a lot to be said for a drama-free Signing Day," Franklin said.
This Penn State football recruiting class includes some highly ranked players and interesting stories, many of which the program shared during its Signing Day show from the Lasch Football Building. Here's a look at some of the most interesting numbers regarding Penn State's 2024 recruiting class.
2: Players in the 247Sports Composite national top 100 (tight end Luke Reynolds at No. 27, and running back Quinton Martin Jr. at No. 85)
3: No. 1 recruits from their home states (Connecticut's Luke Reynolds, Pennsylvania's Quinton Martin Jr., Wisconsin's Garrett Sexton)
5: Schools with multiple players in the class (Pennsylvania's Pittsburgh Central Catholic and Imhotep Charter, Maryland's Quince Orchard, Florida's Mandarin High and Wisconsin's Catholic Memorial)
6: Players ranked among the top 10 in Pennsylvania, according to the 247Sports Composite
8: Players from Pennsylvania and players who won state titles
9: Players invited to high school all-star games
11: State championships won
12: States represented in Penn State's 2024 class
14: Penn State's national rank, according to the 247Sports Composite
