Penn State notes for Northwestern

So far, so healthy: Penn State has been fortunate on the injury front this season, with no major issues to report. Receivers Trey Wallace and Omari Evans played against Illinois last week after missing some time, though fellow receiver and special teams captain Malick Meiga has been out for three weeks. The Lions get a bye week after playing Northwestern to refresh for the season's second half.

More on the win streak: The Lions haven't just won nine straight games; they've won with authority. Penn State's average margin of victory in its nine-game win streak is 29.6 points, and the team has won each by at least 14.

More streaks: Penn State has gone 26 consecutive quarters without a turnover and has scored in 28 straight quarters. The Lions lead the nation with 11 consecutive games of scoring 30+ points. And they haven't allowed a first-drive opponent against their last 18 opponents.

A secure quarterback: Drew Allar has been very protective of the football for Penn State. The sophomore does not have a turnover through his 14 game appearances, including four starts in 2023. He and Washington State's Cam Ward are the only FBS quarterbacks with at least 125 passing attempts and no interceptions.
