How to Watch Penn State in the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament
The Penn State men's hockey team returns to the NCAA Division I Tournament this weekend for the first time since 2018. Penn State received an at-large bid and will serve as the host program for the four-team regional in Allentown, Pennsylvania, March 24-26.
Penn State, the region's No. 2 seed, will meet third-seeded Michigan Tech at 5 p.m. EST Friday at Allentown's PPL Center. Top-seeded Michigan meets Cornell in the other game at 8:30 p.m. ESPNU will broadcast both games.
The winners will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday at the PPL Center for a chance to reach the NCAA Men's Frozen Four in Tampa.
Penn State (21-15-1) is ranked 11th nationally, according to the U.S. College Hockey Online poll. Michigan Tech is ranked No. 13. This is the first game between the teams.
The Lions are competing in their third NCAA Tournament, having qualified as No. 3 seeds in 2017 and '18. Penn State also is serving as the host team in Allentown for the second time.
Tickets are available through the PPL Center website.
This season marks the first in which both Penn State's men and women's hockey teams qualified for their respective NCAA tournaments. The women's team won its first CHA title before falling to Quinnipiac in triple overtime in the tournament's first round.
